Sequential/Page-Flip to Checkerboard Format Converter POD

Overview

Any software package that outputs a page-flip format for stereo can now be viewed in its native application window on a Checkerboard 3D DLP® HDTV supporting 1080p resolution. Switch from a CRT display to a DLP TV display using this POD, without additional software plugins, graphics drivers or other laborious and performance robbing configurations. The RealD PRO Page Flip POD is a solution to the CRT display dilemma by enabling new display technologies with existing content! Plug & Play design means no time wasted setting up.

The RealD PRO Page Flip 3D-Pod receives and transmits a single HDMI compatible audio/video signal. When the received content is in Page-Flip (frame sequential) 3D format, it is converted into a Checkerboard (CB) format so that when viewing on a CB 3D enabled device or HDTV (e.g. DLP®) and wearing RealD 3D Active Eyewear, the viewer will see a true Stereo3D™ image. Static 2D content (e.g. PC menus) will be displayed without modification.

The Page Flip 3D-Pod functions as an “HDMI Repeater,” as defined in the HDMI version 1.3a standard at up to 1080P@60Hz, and complies with the HDCP security protocol referenced therein.
